Class Descriptions
Hatha Yoga – All levels…beginning and continuing students. Focus will be on variations of physical postures(asanas) with emphasis on strength and flexibilty. Breath work, meditation, present moment awareness, and relaxation. Prenatal welcome!
Vinyasa Yoga – Focus will be on moving with the breath through asanas with mindfulness of alignment. We will be working with core and more advanced postures. (No injuries please)
Sivananda Yoga – For beginners and continuing student. Focus is on the Sivananda series of postures(asanas) for stability, flexibility, endurance and strength with emphasis on meditation and intuition, alignment, breath to help relax the body and let go of tension. All Levels.
Hot Yoga – Strong yoga asanas in a heated, humid room, meditation, cleansing postures, breath and relaxation. Please bring a towel.
Yoga for Backs – Postures will focus on health for the back using yoga postures, techniques, and relaxation.
Yoga for Necks and Shoulders – We will focus on releasing tension in the shoulders, chest and neck.
Restorative Yoga – Focus on release and relaxation work through physical postures. Many modifications shown. Pre-natal welcome!
Yoga Nidra – This class will focus on relaxation and mindful awareness as you rest on your back or in a gentle posture. The teacher will lead you through guided awareness techniques. A sweet treat for rejuvenation.
Shakti Bhakti– A focus on mythology, chanting, vinyasa yoga, mindful moving, choreography, undulations, shimmies, veils and intuitive dance….(Workshop coming in 2018)
Yin Yoga – Exploring yin postures with focus on joints, connective tissue, and meridian exploration..Prenatal Welcome!
Yin/Yang – the warm yin/yang class will be partially yin and yang (passive and active postures)
Yoga Spa – this is exclusive to Yoga Haven in Regina. We will celebrate self care techniques with herb infused cloths and essential oils, aroma mists, self or partner massage, cleansing postures, meditation and affirmations. Yoga meets spa…aah! (Workshop coming in 2018)
Yoga for Stress Relief – Emphasis on breath awareness and gentle postures to help create vibrancy, relax the body and calm the mind.
